Made in the Yamaha Custom Shop in July 1990, this is a stunning example of the high quality guitars that Yamaha is capable of producing. These were built by hand and signed by the builder (see label). List price in 1990 was around $1500 in today’s dollars, not a cheap factory guitar! The Top quality solid spruce top makes this guitar come alive! It plays and sounds amazing, competes with guitars several times this price.
The guitar is in great physical condition but does have some cosmetic issues. There is clouding in the polyurethane finish on the back, sides and neck (see pictures). The top has no clouding but has a few hen pecks and light scratches. There is one longer scratch in the back. Brand new tuners installed. No cracks in the wood or loose braces etc.
