Teruaki Nakade Custom 1960s Japan Classical Guitar
For sale is a Teruaki Nakade Custom 1960s Japan Classical Guitar in Good Condition! The aged top appears to be spruce and the back and sides appear to be maple but could also be an unusual exotic species as I haven’t seen this type of grain before.
This beautiful hand built classical was made by Japanese master builder, Teruaki Nakade who is Sakazo Nakade's son. Teruaki traveled to Spain and studied under Ramirez in the 1950s. Bringing his new training back to Japan, Teruaki produced some of the finest classicals to come out of Japan. Anyone who knows the history of the Nakade family, will understand that any classical with the last name Nakade on it, is very high quality.
Featuring all solid woods, this classical puts out some incredible tone and balance.
The classical has been fully restored by local luthier Charles Dick. Here is a list of all the work done:
- Back strip installed
- braces repaired
- Saddle replaced
- Top cracks repaired
- refretted
- planed fingerboard
- bridge reglued
- finish touch up
This guitar has been given a new lease on life and is dying to be in the hands of someone who can appreciate the quality of this classical.
