Teisco Checkmate 15 - White Combo Japan 1960s (Professionally Restored) Rare!
For sale is a Teisco Checkmate 15 - White Combo Japan (Professionally Restored) in Very Good Condition!
These amps tend to hold up better than their American counterparts, probably due to the high quality components they used in Japan at that time. Teisco was building great tube amps in the 1960’s, hand wired and using quality components. They are highly sought after now.
The reverb is non functioning. The reverb tank is difficult to locate so it has been bypassed, but if one could be located, it's an option to still add back in the amp.
The amp has been professionally restored. Here is a list of all the work done to the amp:
- New oil caps and some electrolytes
- Biased tubes with new resistor
- Reverb Bypassed
- Cleaned pots
- restored Chassis
- Replaced speaker
- Rewired in new 3 prong power cord
- Longer screws for back panel.
- Power converted to 120V
Teisco logo that has one screw broken off, but it's included in case you would like to fix and remount it.
