If you are looking at this listing you probably already know that Masaru Kohno is regarded as the best Japanese luthier and one of the best of the 20th century. This is an extremely rare early model from Kohno built in 1957! During this period he was still using the English name “Kono” as indicated on the label. It’s an extremely well-built guitar using beautiful woods and it’s in phenomenal condition for a guitar that is more than 60 years old! Back and sides are Madagascar rosewood, Ezo Spruce top. Excellent sustain and great projection, very lightweight guitar!
