This one has a gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back and sides with really high contrast grain No export!
If you are looking at this listing you probably already know that Masaru Kohno is regarded as the best Japanese luthier and one of the best of the 20th century. This is an extremely rare early model from Kohno built in 1959! During this period he was still using the English name “Kono” as indicated on the label. It’s an extremely well-built guitar using beautiful woods! The neck is straight and the guitar plays and sounds absolutely beautiful as you would expect from a guitar built by a master and aged for 60 years. Excellent sustain and great projection, very lightweight guitar!
There is a crack between the sound hole and the bridge that has been repaired. Also the back crack that's seen in the photos that has been repaired as well.
